La Foce borgo cemetery - Ognissanti - November 1 2007

Left and above - the beautiful little family and estate cemetery at Iris Origo's home, La Foce (south of Montepulciano, marked on TCI sheet map of Tuscany). The graves of the Origos (immediately above, on All Saints day 2003) are at the back. To get to the cemetery follow the dirt road to the right of the house around the boundary for a kilometre or so. To add greatly to the experience, read Iris Origo's book "War in Val d'Orcia", beforehand!
