This is what the facade of the Duomo will look like when the scaffolding finally goes. Everything is on a massive scale (see for example the kids giving perspective to the doors below). |

The bas reliefs on the four pilasters date from the 1300s. The right (fourth) pilaster's reliefs (shown below) are attributed to Lorenzo Maitini, and show scenes from the Resurrection of the Flesh, the Last Judgement, Paradise and Hell. Oh, and the winged bull represents the Evangelist Saint Luke.
