Domenico Ghirlandaio was a leading visual chronicler of the faces of Florentine society and master of narrative frescoing and paintings of Last Suppers in convent / monastery refectories in Florence. See frescos in Santa Maria Novella and S S Trinita, last suppers in Ognissanti, San Marco, and Badia a Passignano in Chianti (done in 1476 with his brother Davide). |
