Not the architectural highlight of the cattedrale, but there are still a few interesting animale around ....

In particular, a lion beside the main alabaster glazed window in the apse seems to be doing something unspeakable .... (they often are - have a closer look next time you happen on a really old medieval cathedral).

Cafe Plancheto, Bitonto
Just to the right of this photo of the Apse End of Bitonto Cattedrale is the Cafe Plancheto. Bruschetta, a crispy lasagne, caraffe of red, dolci and a glass of moscato appeared without the help of a menu or indeed much money .... what a place off the beaten track Italy is ...... |
