Chartres West Lancet Windows: Passion - Incarnation - Jesse
|
|
The Incarnation (Life of Christ) Window is the largest of the three lancet windows under the rose at the west end of Chartres Cathedral. The three windows, made, along with the Blue Virgin window, in the 1100s, are the oldest in the cathedral, the only survivors from the catastrophic fire of 1194.
