León Cathedral - an Abbey Church full of stained glass

Photos from the church and cloisters in preparation

León Cathedral is second only to Chartres Cathedral in the medieval stained glass window stakes, including three magnificent rose windows.  These Edilisa books are also simply the best of their type - on the left a 1200s bishop blessing (the cathedral?), on the right King Alfonso X (The Wise) (  1221 - 1252 - 1284 (63)) one of the instigators of León Cathedral.

Post Card of Leon Cathedral from the south east.  The cloister and monastery buildings (housing the museum) are to the north (right hand side) of the cathedral.

Another excellent Edilisa book
