The Mudéjar apse and tower of the church of San Tirso in Sahagún - in the background the tower of the once huge Benedictine monastery of Saints Facundo and Primitivo which got flattened by the awful al-Mansur

Figures from the main doorway of the major Templar church of Santa Maria la Blanca at Villasirga between Carrión les Condes and Fromista

San Martín in Frómista, and another capital appearance by Adam and Eve as well as some interesting corbels ....

Spain is number two in the world in terms of installed wind power electricity production capacity.  Germany is number one, and together the two countries account for over 50% of the world's installed wind power generating capacity.   Spain has a target of a massive 20,000 MW wind capacity by 2011 - about 15% of the country's projected total generating capacity.   They are already about half way to this target.  Taking a figure of 4 MW per generator, this means that there are already over 2,000 wind turbines at work, a fact which is often visually in your face as you drive along the Camino roads of the North.
