The Herefordshire School of Romanesque Sculpture

The churches in this section all have stonework images from the 1100s which are collectively known as the Herefordshire School of Romanesque Sculpture.  Clearly there were some master sculptors in this area who were not only skilled but well travelled (or visited), as many similarities can be found with Romanesque Western France and other west European churches, and also other regional styles in Britain.
