THE LINCOLN PILGRIM AND FRIENDS

The Lincoln Pilgrim is a famous image - he is one of three people in the spandrels of the east windows of the south west chapel which also houses the bookshop.  Because of their position they go largely unnoticed.  The top man is Satan with what looks like a chisel in his hand but it might have started out as something longer.  On the right is a less well equipped traveller (with lunch?).
